JOMSOM MUKTINATH trekking has been one of the most demanding and popular trekking destination trails in Annapurna Region. This Trekking is also known as pilgrims' trekking to have tour around the Muktinath, one of the Hindu and Buddhist shrines in the country. You will visti the hundreds years old monastery, caves, local tribes, culture and lifestyle and scenic beauties of the different landscapes. You can see 108 water taps around the Temple and two small pounds in front of the Temple. The Hindu people believe that if they take bath on 108 taps,they will be free from their sinful.Those taps are shape of cow's heads, which pour forth sacred water. This trekking is called the gate way to the upper mustang and known as SMALL TIBET. Subsequently,this trekking is located in the north of the Pokhara valley and best area to have nearest views of mountains lying in the Annapurna Region. also to have bath in natural hot Spring in Tatopani. you will have chance to have trekking in Poon Hill for sunrise over the mountain panoramic views of snow-capped Himalayas such as Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt. Manaslu (8156m), Annapurna I (8091m), Mt. Nilgiri (7040m), Mt. Annapurna south (7219m), Mt. Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III (7555m), Mt. Annapurna IV (7525m), Mt. Hiunchuli (6441m), Mt. Fishtail also called Machhapuchhre (6998m), Tukuche peak (6920m), LamjungHimal (6586m) and others. Besides these, you will also have chance to explore the mixed culture of various ethnic groups (Gurung,Magar,Thakali,Brahmin,Chhetryetc), enjoy with the beautiful landscapes. 

JOMSOM MUKTINATH trekking begins from Birethanti and ends in Jomsom. The Jomsom is the headquarter of Mustang District and major trading center too.This trekking heads towards north to Kagbeni valley along the river bank of Kali Gandaki, the deepest gorge in the world, following the trial it finally takes to Muktinath temple. It passes through many fascinating THAKALI indigenous peoples settlements sails out the Marpha,Tukuche,Larjung villages, There are some apple brandy factories. You also can enjoy having shower in hot spring and from same way, you will return back to Jomsom from Muktinath and fly back to Pokhara. 

JomsomMuktinath was a place of great trekking route some year ago but now due to the development of road,it can be visited as tour by Jeep. You can have 2 night 3 days tour from Pokhara-Jomsom/Muktinath-Pokhara. It is an easy trek so is called HONEYMOON TREK. This trek was done by many newly married couple before because of the well accommodation, food and peace enviroment. Most of the couple is offering this trek/tour still now.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1345m)

Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara(910m) 5/6 hrs driving or fly 45 minutes

Day 04: Drive to Birethanti (1100m), trek to Ulleri(2073m) 4 hrs

Day 05: Ulleri to Ghorepani (2850m) 5 hrs

Day 06: Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tatopani (1189m).5 hrs

Day 07: Tatopani to Ghasa (2120m) 6/7 hrs

Day 08: Ghasa to Larjung (2560m) 5 hrs

Day 09: Larjung to Marpha (2776m) 4hrs

Day 10: Marpha to Kagbeni (2840m) 4hrs

Day 11: Kagbeni to RaniPauwa (3800m) 4 hrs

Day 12: Ranipauwa to Muktinath to Jomsom (2713m) 5 hrs

Day 13: Jomsom to Pokhara (30 minutes, fly) 

Day 14: Pokhara to Kathmandu.(by private vehicle) 4/5 hrs or fly

Day 15: Transfer to international airport for your final departure.
