Bhutan (Bhutan General Information) is a tiny and a land-locked country surrounded by mountains. It has a total area of about 4,700 sq km. Bhutan is located in the eastern Himalayas, between Tibet to the north, the Indian territories of Assam and West Bengal, to the south and east, and Sikkim to the west. Regarding the dragon, it represents Druk, the Tibetan name for the kingdom of Bhutan. The jewels clamped in the dragon's claws symbolize wealth. The snarling mouth represents the strength of the male and female deities protecting the country.
