To Custom Trek Nepal, I want to apologize for not responding sooner. Things were hectic on our return with the backlog of work, Christmas and the holidays. Sonia and I can say that we were very satisfied with the service and attention we received while we were in Nepal. Without doubt, the highlight was the 12 days of trekking. The scenery was beautiful and so different than anything we'd ever seen. We especially enjoyed our time with Ambir, Lakshmi and Som. It isn't easy spending 12 days with anyone and our time with them went so well. Ambir especially, treated us and watched over us as if we were family. He was informative, entertaining and accommodating to our requests. We especially liked the little touches like the pillow cases and bed sheets. He always found us the best available accommodations. We really felt that Ambir was so proud to receive us as guests in his country. We were less satisfied with Shree in Kathmandu. At the end of the trip there was some confusion about our stay in Nagarkot. According to what Shree told us, Sonia and I both understood that the night was to be paid by Custom Trek Nepal. However, on our last day before leaving Shree informed us that we had to pay. I think it was due to his age or attitude, but with Shree it sometimes felt like he saw us as an opportunity to make a quick buck. He also said that he was "in charge" of the non-trekking part of our trip. Otherwise, his guiding in and around Kathmandu was good Overall, we would recommend Custom Trek Nepalto other traveler's heading to Nepal. I would suggest that you clarify roles and responsibilities. According to the web site, Ambir is the Director. We think you have someone very special in Ambir Gurung. We've attached a photo of our trip. I have one more comment, which in no way reflects on Custom Trek Nepal. It was our first time in Asia and we were not prepared for the amount of air & dirt pollution that we encountered in Kathmandu.
