The Everest Kalapathar trekking is one another, the most visited and one of the famous trekking trails in the Everest region. This trail offers incredible panoramic views of numerous mountains lying from north to the south in the region, including of the world’s highest mountain—the Mt. Everest. The trekking in the region provides scenic views of whole Solukhumbu (the heartland of Sherpa community) region, beautiful landscape and lush valley. The trekking to the area is mostly designed for those who want to explore the rural village.

You have two options for the trekking to the area, either by air from Kathmandu to Lukla or by road from Kathmandu to Jiri and begin the trekking from Jiri along the Everest route to the Solukhumbu the heartland of Sherpa ethnic community. After a few days of trek, we reach at Solukhumbu district, where the Mt. Everest is located. Otherwise, we also can have direct flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a residence of Sherpas and home of Buddhist monasteries. Passing through this Sherpa village and monasteries lying around the area, we reach Kalapather and also the Gokyo valley, from where you can enjoy the panoramic views of the gorgeous Himalayas. From the Kalapather peak, we can capture the scenic views of Himalayan, including the four the highest peaks in the world above 8000 m, namely, Mt. Cho OyU (8,201 m), Mt. Makalu (8,463 m), Mt. Lotse (8,516 m) and the Mt. Everest 8,848 m and other breathtaking mountain vistas. Once we make it to the Kalapathar making a trip around, finally we return back to Lukla airport and we catch the place and fly back to Kathmandu or return from the same route to Jiri and catch bus.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1345meters).

Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley.

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2886m.).

Day 04: Trek from Lukla to Phakding (3440 m.)

Day 05: Rest at Namche Bazar for acclimatization and excursion around the places.

Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche (3867 m.)

Day 07: Trek from Tyangboche to Dingboche (4260m.)

Day 08: Rest at Dingboche for acclimatization and excursion

Day 09: Trek from Dingboche(4350m.) to Chhukung (4730m.)

Day 10: Trek from Chhukung to Chhukung Ri (5546m.) to Lobuche (4930m.) via Dongla (4620m.)

Day 11: Trek from Lobuche (4900m.) to Gorakshep (5180m.)

Day 12: Trek from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5545m.) and back to Pheriche (4243m.)

Day 13: Trek from Pheriche to Phortse (3750m.)

Day 14: Trek from Phortse (3750m.) to Khumjung (3790m.)

Day 15: Trek from Khumjung to Thame (3800m.)

Day 16: Trek from Thame to Monjo (2835m.)

Day 17: Trek from Monjo to Lukla (2800m.)

Day 18: Flight back to Kathmandu.
