Everest base camp trekking is one of the most popular trekking trails in the Everest region. It has been much demanded much because this region offers a unique and unforgettable experience with awesome views of the world’s highest and most beautiful mountains-- Mt. Everest (8,848 m). The trekking to this region has been famous ever since Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenjing Norgay Sherpa made their first successful summit in 1953. Trekking in Everest Base Camp is famous for its spectacular mountain peaks and friendliness of its inhabitants (Sherpa). This region trekking is famous as this provides superb Himalayan sceneries including of Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Nuptse (7855m), Mt. Pumori (7161m), Mt. Changaste (7550m), Mt. Lingterin (6679m), Mt. Amadablam (6856m), Mt. Thamserku (6723m), Mt. Kantega( 6685m), Mt.Kusum Khagaru (6367m),Mt.Kongde (6011m), Mt. Khumbila (5761m) , Mt. Twache peak (6367m), Mt. Cholaste (6335m) ,Island peak (6179m), Lobuche peak (6145m),Pokalde peak (5806m), Honku south peak (6119m) to name a few. Sometimes, you also can spot various animals such as musk dears, leopards, jackals, mountain Thar, birds such as Pheasant, long tails birds and beautiful blend of Sherpa culture, while having trekking through this route.

The trekking to Everest base camp begins by flight from Kathmandu to the mountain airstrip to Lukla, the heart of Everest Region, then after around three hours walk, you will reach at Phakding and then you continue north up to Dudh Kosi valley and to Namche bazaar, where you spend one day for acclimatization. Then next day, you will continue trekking to Kala-Pattar and subsequently to the Everest base camp. You have time for rest one day in Dingboche or Pheriche in between and for some side-trips and for further acclimatization from the area, you can have some magnificent views of Everest along with Nuptse, Lohtse and Mount Pumori and return back to Lukla and catch the flight to Kathmandu. Custom Trek Nepal Arranges the trekking to this region, the whole year around, however the best times to have trekking are from the beginning of March to mid May and from the beginning of September to mid November.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1345meters). 

Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. 

Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2804 meters) trek to Phakding (2610 meters) 3 hours. 

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3441 meters) 5.30 hours. 

Day 05: Namche Bazaar Acclimatization day. 

Day 06: Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3860 meters) 5 hours. 

Day 07: Trek to Dingboche (4350 meters) 5.30 hours. 

Day 08: Trek to Chhukung (4710 meters) and trek back to Dingboche. 4.30 hours. 

Day 09: Trek to Lobuche (4910 meters) 5 hours. 

Day 10: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5365 meters) then trek back to Gorak Shep (5180 meters). 7 hours. 

Day 11: Trek to Kalapattar (5555 meters) then trek down to Pheriche (4200 meters) 6 hours. 

Day 12: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3441 meters) 5.30 hours. 

Day 13: Trek to Lukla (3404 meters) 6 hours. 

Day 14: Morning flight back to Kathmandu. 

Day 15: Leisure day in Kathmandu. 

Day 16: Transfer for your final flight departure.
