Ghorepani Cultural Trekking

Ghorepani Cultural trekking is another popular trail that lies in Annapurna Region. The trekking to Ghorepani poon hill is also popularly known as CULTURAL trekking.This trekking is one of the easiest trekking trails in the country.This trekking trail offers superb views of the mountains,scenes and sceneries.The trekking to this area takes you to the west of Pokhara and gives magnificent views of Himalayas lying in the Annapurna area.One of the features of this trekking is that you will have trip to Poon hill,from here,you can see an amazing scenes of sunrise and you also can cherish an incredible panoramic views of the mountains such as Dhaulagiri (8,167m),Annapurna (8,091m) Fishtail (6,997m) Annapurna South, Himchuli among others.. Ghorepani poon hill trekking is suitable for those who have limited holidays but want to views of the Annapurna Himalaya range within a short span of time.Probably, This trekking is one of the best trekking destinations in Annapurna Region.

Ghorepani cultural trekking drives from Pokhara to Birethanti via Nayapul then walk through small villages Ramgai,Sudame,Hile and Tikhedhunga.After crossing the Bhrungdi Khola,you climb up Ulleri to Ghorepani with rhododendron,Oak,Pine and Juniper forests.Therefore,sometimes you will spot the endangered animals and birds.You can also see various kinds of butter flies and enjoy with the blend of culture and traditions of various ethnic groups such as Gurung, Magar,Brahmin,Chhetri and making the trips to the areas and beautiful blend of culture,lifestyle of different ethnic groups living in the area.This area is covered by Gurung and Magar communities.They have their own rich culture,tipical dress, thatch roof of house,smile face, own festivals, Museum and their own monologue too.This trekking starts from Birethanti and end in Ghandruk.

Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1345m)
There you will be met by our Airport Representative and transferred to hotel by private tourist vehicle.Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley.
Your sightseeing will be visited places according to your interest.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara(910m) 5/6 hrs
Driving Early in the morning, yOur Trekking guide will come at the Hotel to pick you up and you walk from hotel few minutes to get Tourist bus station (Kantipath).You will drive through scenic foothills, passing along the road at the bank of Trishuli will have nice view of Annapurna, terraces and green hills with many Nepali town.While you reach to Pokhara at can have sightseeing on the lakeside and boating at Phewa lake. From Kathmandu to Pokhara is about 206km.You will have your Breakfast and Lunch on the way.If you want,We can provide private vehicle as well.Itis much more conformable for your driving. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 04: Drive to Birethanti 1 hrs, and trek to Ulleri(2073m) 4 hrs
After your breakfast. After an hour drive to Birethanti, a large and prosperous town beside the Modi head up the main trail to Ramgai and Sudame where you climb gradually up the side of the valley, reaching Hile (1495m) before pushing on to Tikhe Dhunga(1575m), from here the trail crosses a stream (Bhrungdi Khola) and then ascends a steep stone staircase to the large Magar village at Ulleri. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 05: Ulleri to Ghorepani (2850m) 5 hrs
This is a pleasant walking day trek through rhododendron (Nepali National Flower) and oak forests and across streams before making a short, final climb to Nangethant, From Nangethanti you head up to Ghorepani.This day, you will see some birds and some mamals too.Overnight at Lodge.

Day 06: Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani (2520m).5 hrs
An early start and 45 minutes hiking to Poon Hill (3210m) leads you to a brilliant spectacle, this vantage point provides an unobstructed view of sunrise over the high Himalayas.From here you can not only see the sunrise but also the panoramic views of Himalayas including Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), Mt. Nilgiri (7040m), Annapurna south (7219m),Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Hunchuli (6441m), fishtail or Machhapuchhare (6998m),Lamjung Himal (6986m), Tukuch peak (6920m), Dhampus peak (6012m) among others. One can also see various kinds of butter flies and enjoy with the blend of culture and traditions of various ethnic groups such as Bramin ,Chhetri, Magar, Thakali, and gurung and making the trips to the areas,After spending about 40 minutes on the hillside,you come back to your hotel to have a hot and fresh breakfast and start walking to Tadapani. From Ghorepani the trail climbs along the ridgev and through pine,Oak,Juniper and rhododendron forests to Deurali (2960m).You descend to reach Next Banthanti, before winding your way to Tadapani(2540m). your trekking starts and ends in Pokhara.Overnight at Lodge.

Day 07: Tadapani to Ghaundruk (1950m) 4 hrs
During this day, you will trek through the forests with mountain view.Your descent brings you to the village of Ghaundruk around noon so you can visit Gurung village, Gurung museum. As well as take time to explore the village.Overnight at Lodge.

Day 08: Ghaundruk to Pokhara 3 hrs
Driving You will take your breakfast the you will drive down through terraces, green hills,some Nepali small villages with mountain view before Syauli Bazar.After that you will drive through to Nayapul, Birethanti to Pokhara via Lumle, Overnight at Hotel.

Day 09: Pokhara to Kathmandu.(by private vehicle) 4/5 hrs
After your breakfast, you will drive to Kathmandu by Vehicle. Overnight at Hotel

Day 10: Transfer to international airport for your final departure.
Our Airport Representative will drop you to the Kathmandu International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal.
